i put prices on my flyers ,      from £5.00 full house,        typical price up here street house.     i was charging them £6.50 monthly.       asian woman come out and put £5 in my hand,    i said £6.50p,     she said it says £5.
i told her to look again      it says from £5 ,     she played dumb.
never done them again, but still do 8 houses around her.      still waiting for my £1.50p     LOL.
you must explain FROM  on your prices.       i make sure i let them know the full price now before clean.

There  is a chap and his son started 5 years back about the same time as I did. Had the 1 pound a window on his van sign writing and saw him last week still 1 pound a window how does he move on from that. I work in  the same areas. I now get between 2,50 /3.00 a window.I have never lost any work to him, it makes you think  Every time we have  chat, I tell he is a mug as I have taken some of his customers over the years.

I have mine on the website as a guide price.
Did it really because I'm full and it does stop the messers.
Enquiries are lower but if you don't park on the lawn or run over the cat, the business is mine.

If your building your round then don't. People buy people and you need to be seen.

Tony

like your website  :) ..... is it one of Nats ??

Cant see any benefit in displaying prices on leaflets or websites.
I don just price by the amount of windows but by the size of each window as well
a 4ft square window will cost more to clean than a 2ft.
What I do have is a leaflet for fascias and gutters with a space for the price at the bottom.
When out cleaning if I happen to see a property that needs one of these services I can put the
price on the leaflet and put it through the letter box.

You are gearing your business to price sensitive customers. Attract your customers to your value and good work. They are better customers. By telling you customer how much they will pay then trying to negotiate yourself out of the value / quality and regularity hole is a stick that will come back to beat you later.
Customers who are price sensitive are not the customers, I would want.
