Hi I bought a alloy pole of BRODEX about 3 weeks ago, ive noticed that the number 2 pole has a slight bend in it, this makes it hard to get the number 3 pole over it.

when I first used it it was great, im thinking there is a fault with the number 2 pole as this has never happend with any of the poles ive had before.

I keep my poles in a hoder in the van, so I know its not been damaged, all I can think of is when I use it a full length its bent itself .

Ive had poles off them in the past and I think they are great , just wondering if anyone els has had this happen to them.?

Has it only happened or was it there from day one?
I would say its a faulty section.
Couldn't see it bending as even through they are a rubbish pole to work with, they are strong
and reliable.
But seriously mate if you only take one piece of advice from this forum, its get yourself a Gardiner pole
or similar.
People on this forum don't rant on about them for nothing.

I havent used  my brodex allys for about three years but both my poles had bends in them , I started using gardiners wont use any other now

I have had bent Brodex poles in the past. At 3 weeks old I think you are entitled to phone them and get a replacement section. I see that they have done away with their 3 year guarantee, probably for this reason.

They have always sorted any issues I have had in the past.

Brodex have just called me back and they say they are going to send me a new pole number 2.

are gardiner poles alloy or fiber glass,? I used  fiber glass before but that kept sticking too.

Generally, after having an alloy pole a while ago, I would not buy again cos of that reason - they can bend if you drop them. I had an alloy 40 ft pole from Brodex and I accidentally dropped it and it bent so I couldn't get the section to collapse. That's why I buy hybrids or carbon plus they are much lighter
