Well just had the van towed to the garage....went through a flood only about a 1ft deep tops engine cut out and may well be knackered.

So to all those with an old shaped pug expert beware as my mechanic mate says they have really low air intakes

Oh noooooo!

Used to have a lovely zx volcane.  Went through a flood and totally blew the engine, air intake scoop right down by the wheel.

Luckily enough the insurance paid out 😃

when i used to be a peugeot tech mate we had quite a few different models with these problems, 206's where the worse in fact we had a recall on them to drill the lower air inlet pipe.
replaced a few 206 and 106 engines due to them hydrolocked and wrecking pistons,lower ends etc.
we used to think it was maybe because the french being french designed the cars to drive on the other side of the road so the puddles wasnt as bad on that side!!
hope you get away with yours pal but if you was at speed and it sucked it up might not be good

Cheers mate I was only going slow....my mate reckons it's 50/50 so I got fingers and toes crossed at moment

some transits have a very low air intake too .

bad luck / fingers crossed /tho usually will bend a conrod or 2- sometimes you can get away with replacing just a bent rod if it sticks  in the position if you can undo the big ends bolts
