At least you didn't clean it like we did!!!
Sold within 8 weeks no for sale sign - no sold sign.
Asian woman came out when we were about half way round looking astonished asking what we were doing!!!!
I once cleaned a rental and only noticed on the last window that the house was empty!!!!
It happens unfortunately.

We have faced a major change on our main estate as large local employer laid off over 700 and have seen large increase in the number of rental properties. Trouble is where most owner occupiers have their windows cleaned, many renters don't. So we do have more gaps on roads where we used to have most of the properties.
Also different nationalities seem to have completely different ideas about window cleaning.

Very true. There are many, many privately rented properties in my locality. None of the tenants that I have called on seem to think it is their responsibility to pay for their windows to be cleaned, so they never get done. Council estates are different. The tenants there take much more pride in their homes, and these are where my most compact work is.

I keep an eye in 'country life' publication as the very big expensive houses rarely display for sale signs as they advertise in country life instead. Also pays to keep in with customers as they always know what's going on and will always let you know the latest gossip over a cuppa if you can spare 5 mins to chat with them ;D
