On a builders clean and can't remove residue of protective film from glass. Solvent remover and blades won't touch it. 20 years of builders cleans and this has got me stumped. Any ideas?

It'll not shift the residue but it will make you feel much better about the situation for a short while!

Try this - we use it alot with great results - spray on leave it for ten mins and scrape it off

They sell trigger spray versions buy both and use to top up!

You need the unger 4 inch scraper and the very sharp blades , we have had this loads on new builds lately also used clover chemicals tar and glue remover about £12 for 5 lt

0000 grade steel wool (Or bronze wool if you can get it) will remove just about anything and doesn't scratch,..

On my lunch break. Threatened to walk off job when they had me using Petrol on it. One way to stop smoking I suppose. EVO stik adhesive remover and turps substitute moving it about a bit. 5 hours and I am still on first flat. I charge per hour fortunately.

You might laugh but I stumbled across this by chance, I did a whole, very large country house builders clean with it & it brought everything off with ease. Spray on glass, rub with one cloth & buff with another. It made a nightmare job a complete dodle, got to be worth a shot for a couple of quid. It must be "polish" & not "cleaner"

I had that problem too, I did manage to remove it with a blade (one of those metal retracting ones) but it took forever.

Rhinoman has plenty of experience so why not follow his advise?

Yes better off walking away sod that more hassle than what it's worth, prob cause more damage scratching the glass. 👳👳👳
