Any body interested in learning about algoclear/mossgo soft washing?

I am thinking about organising a training day...to cover, application methods, environmental impact, time frames  ,mix ratios etc.

Cost will be around £45 to include  (a decent) dinner and registered contractor certificate along with website listing.

Thinking about west Lancashire, On a saturday towards the end of january early february .

I can autograph your one!
The manufacturer is issueing the cert and doing the training...not me.
No its not worth the paper it's written on...lead generation for approved contractors is worth it.

Brussels say all reference to "moss " killing products are basically to be removed from the market. So shortly the homeowner will not be able to purchase a product from anywhere that says on the label .. "killing moss" etc
Hence the name change....you will learn all about this when you show up ;D
The sites full of "dodgy " stood on roof pics...this is all changing. Hence the look into safe ways for application etc.

mainly just its effectiveness on different surfaces and what sort of thickness of moss it can reliably deal with along with expected time before results are seen. Subject was covered a bit at the building cleaning academy but cant say I was convinced by what was shown on the day

Not necessarily for k-rend but it is one application. Work is starting to pick up for soft washing the more i look for it..
How else would you clean this...cockle shell render.

Heavy deposits definitely need to be removed...otherwise if not completely saturated regrowth occur .Moss is a bit like a sponge. When a sponge is dry it repels water. When damp it accepts liquid to the point of saturation. There are too many variables in between .
Best remove the heavy stuff and be left with the root system and apply the quats to that. It then becomes very effective.
Time scales vary on the surface and type of algae /moss colonization. Algae covered cladding, sandstone building 12/24hrs.
It is not the answer to every situation but i believe there are many ways to clean some more effective than others.
Hitting oxidised cladding with 3000psi will do very little...soap and a brush is better. The render in the picture needs careful consideration as even soft brushing you end up with a pile of shells at you feet! Similary I think 3000psi and a flat surface cleaner is the way to go for block paving...you would be wasting with quats (although it would clean it)
I also think there is a lot of milage as a general maintenance product after an initial clean up...spray and walk away.

I still don't see any real mileage with soft washings a roof - UK market, without the hard sell.

Majority of customers are after instant results, Out of all the roofs we cleaned last year only 2 were suitable for soft wash. By using this method we lost out on the profit, plus initial results ltd as an op hated it as far less rewarding than p washing. We would of earned far more by using p washing method plus option to upsell coatings etc.
It gives another method for cleaning renderings but thats it, as far as I can see.

As for the Mossgo 'label' they have tried to push it to contractors, yet as you have said their site was full of 'dodgy ' roof pics, anyone who is serious about HS can see that, by HS I dont mean the usual red tape crap we have to deal with.... Real simple basic fundamental Safety.

This post confuses me... If its not you providing the training.... Why are you plugging it and not the manufacturer  ???

I was just talking to the manufacturer about training in general. I thought local/regional training was better as the cost can be kept to a min. People don't need to travel long distances and stay in hotels etc.
We spoke about group sizes..large groups pay well but something gets lost in the presentation.
So for anybody that might find it interesting( soft washing)... £45 is affordable to everybody, travelling expenses will not amount to much, and the quality of the coarse due to the small groups should be good.
If you do the maths there is no money to be made 6/8 attendees at about £45 =£270 just enough to hire the venue, travel/accom for the presenter and dinner.
If it turns out I can run it for £20 I will!
I just thought if there was enough interest ...i would arrange something. I like courses ...you always learn something ,even if you know everything like me ;D
