You can't do this with a VAX mate.
If it's expensive furniture DD, get on the net and get a few quotes. You'll find the right offer. If you go knocking it about with a poxy Vax or RD you could, and probably will cause more problems than you have now mate. Why risk it?

Exactly Cozy.
It the chair/footstool are really expensive.
It'd be just my luck in trying to get out a few marks I'd ruin the pair of 'em!
Will do. There is a place in my town I will give a go.

Thanks for your input lads.

We have a good Vax which has done a cracking job on our sofa .

Or rather i have one of the key things is making sure you get as much water out of tge fabric as possible it took me 6 hrs to do our large corner sofa but i made dam sure i could not get anymore moisture out of it all

Same for our living room cream carpet it is all about technique bit like WFP . Mike

Go and tell the rug munchers over in the carpet section what you just posted here. Take a weapon with you though, and a flak jacket  " it is all about technique bit like WFP" ;D ;D

No mate.
Was gonna ask 'J&P' in Grantham but not yet.
Asked on here as I would like someone with some feedback.
And I was wondering what sort of money it'd be & how long it takes.
If you could find someone if appreciate it...

You should be charged between £30 and £60 per seat for upholstery cleaning. If someone says they can do it for £20-£40 all in... beware... you probably wont be able to sit on it for a week, due to excess water....

The problem with a vax machine is.... the pump works well enough to wet the upholstery and carpet, but the vacuum motor is not powerful enough to remove it... Hence the 6 hours for a settee...

I don't know anyone up your area, but try www.tacca.co.uk for a decent cleaner.

Cheers hector.
What sort of money are carpets?
They're kind of a biscuit colour 80/20 no really bad stains as such, just starting to look grubby, they're 3 years old now.
