Good luck to you. Been off the smokes for 16 months now (after 17 years of 20+ a day). It was the single best thing I've done for both myself and my family.

Get yourself Allen Carr (not the guy with the glasses off tv)- The Easy Way on audio and listen to it all the time. it will change the way you think about cigs so you don't want one anymore.  I'm two years cig free now and don't even think about smoking at all - after 30 years!

Good luck to you - I think it's the single best thing anyone can do in terms of their health, money and even how you plan your day.

Cheers, Tom

Me is given-up smoking too  :).
Been smoking for over 40 years  :o, and I just said to myself last night...'that's it, I'm giving-up'.
Not using any patches etc...just going cold turkey.

The secret is in 'wanting' to give-up and 'willpower'.
We shall see if I'm right  :).

Nice one .
I've never smoked thank god , but it's good willpower you have shown .

Swings and roundabouts mate.
I've known people give-up using patches, and then a few months down the road they're back in the smokes.

I'm a strong believer in that anyone can achieve their goals if they just believe-in-themselves.

I know loads of people who've just gone cold turkey.
Successfully.
And a few who used patches, ecigs etc.
doesn't really matter how you succeed-long as you do.
All the best with it.

Most of you won't do it lads.I stopped for 13 months then started again.my brother stopped for 4 years then back on em.

I loved smoking so I vape e cigs and have done for over 3 Years now.not smoked a single cigarette.

Costs me about 250 QUID a year in e liquid, batteries, cartomisers etc.

Well worth it to me.I feel a lot fitter and still get to smoke and it doesn't hurt your wallet too much!!

Happy New year to you all

I never make new years resolutions. Most break them in a few days.nearly all do within a few weeks. ;D
price higher/work harder!

If you and your brother stopped smoking for that long, then it is through choice you've started again.

It's always through choice that people go back on the smokes. Good luck with your quit oldman, if you manage to stay quit it will be the best thing you ever do!

I quit using Champix, highly recommended, they took the edge off the first couple of months whilst the addiction lessened. I honestly don't believe I would have been successful without them.
