Will you remove travel allowance at a later date when you provide her with more work, won't that cause resentment on her part. If you are providing her with a fair wage, good working environment, support then why should you pay for her travel expenses she took the job on knowing the logistics involved you a

Couldn't understand the relevance of the comment re minimum wage, i'm sure everyone agrees with you that paying minimum wage is a false economy "pay peanut get monkeys". There are other ways to motivate staff other than financial.although that will always be the overiding factor that someone works for you.
