So, with two of us in the cab, how many liters of water do you think I can put into that tank, legally?

Payloads gotta be somewhere around the 1200/1300kg mark...

According to parkers, the 300 swb low roof transit (06 onwards), has a payload of 1297kg. From my own personal experience you probably wouldnt want any more than 850l in there, less if its a 2 man setup. For a 1000l system, you would ideally need a transit 330.

Ok, with a 1/4 of a tank of fuel, and all of the above, it works out that I can only carry 650 litres.

That's not so much an indication of how much extra stuff I'm carrying, but, rather, more an indication that, for some strange reason, my t300, which number one would presume was indicative of a 3000 kg gross vehicle weight, is in fact, stamped with a 2880 kg GVW, just 80 kg more than a t280 Transit.

My T300 is fine carrying a 650 Litre tank plus kit. But no way would I have chosen this van if I needed a 1000 litre tank. You wont find a short wheel base low top van with the pay load required "I think we need a bigger van"
