Propane space heater
« on: December 14, 2013, 05:19:28 pm »
Have just been offered one of these (almost new) plus a 19kg propane bottle for £90

It will be ideal for my unit but not sure how cost effective they are.

Anyone got one or had one similar and know what the cost to run? the webpage says it uses approximately 0.93 kg/hour propane gas, but not knowing the cost of gas it means nothing to me.

Says it uses 0.93kg of propane per hour so probably not that cheap to run.
I know a 15kg bottle of Butane is around £32.
What about one of those 4.2KW 3 bar portable gas fires you can buy?
About £100 new with gas bottle cost on top.
