I've got a Glyder 30 and 40 plus, been using both poles for over 18 months with no problems at all, and I'm not gentle with them.

Even the top sections are strong, TBH I just don't see how you could just snap just from you using it.

I did buy this...

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/waterfed-pole-window-cleaning-angle-adaptor-9-inch-/280734922577?pt=UK_HomeGarden_CLV_Cleaning_CA&hash=item415d1af751

Long-reaching angle crank, handy for deep sills and almost no extra weight.

EDIT - just looked at your photo.  Now I understand why it broke on you, those unger goose necks and stuff are super HEAVY.  No offense mate but this was your fault IMO.

Also, it doesn't look like the section has actually snapped...

, it looks like the plastic insert bit has just come away from the pole section.  Get some araldite (or whatever its called) and glue it back in.  Good as new.

That's what I was thinking, doesn't look like a break! The one I was looking at it was the end insert which had come out.

i have a glyder 40 which was a replacement for the grafter 35 i got with my original system that kept breaking .

they gave me the glider for free so customer service wise they were excellent and admitted they had a bad batch of clamps.

However i use the glider 40 for a few jobs with a very light extreme brush on the end , one of these jobs is at an angle over a very large conny on a big house .

It feels like it is going to break every time i use it and the amount it bends and bounces is unreal.

I have never tried the swift so can't comment on that but both ionics poles i have had have been so bad as to be unusable for the grafter to almost unusable for the glyder .
