I have one but rarely use it, so don't buy one until you've done a course at least.
There are various courses available, it's just down to who you feel comfortable with during your research, tiling logistics have one running in early jan.

This question has been asked on here 1000's of times.  You cannot transfer a carpet business to Hard Floors or Vice Versa.  They require different equipment.  I am not going to go through every reason why or start a debate with the CC's that use spinners, portables and TM's to do the odd Hard Floor.  Essentially as well as the small peripherals you need a Mono Rotary Single Speed Machine 150-175rpm and a dedicated wet vacuum as your Bread & Butter tools the rest is personal choice.

I would agree with what Kevin says.

Go with a rotary and a good wet vac first of all.

Spinner tools do have their place but are something to add later once established.

I have had one for almost 13 years now and its worth its weight in gold every month for a poolside maintenance contract that we do.

We did however get that contract by initially using a rotary and wet vac.
