Ive always used a direct feed from my van battery power my system, but as i have just bought a new van I want to kit the back out properly including another battery car/lesuire, in the back of the van.

Can someone advice me what I should be doing to acheive this.

Use a leisure battery, connected to a split charger relay.
That way the leisure battery will charge from the van battery/alternator when the van is on, but also protects your van battery from going flat.

(Had that recommended to me by spruce on this forum, and its been great)

Leisure battery i have is 85ah but from what i gather i'd get the highest ah you can (especially if you dont do alot of driving) as you'll get more out of it.
As regards to where to get it from, i'm not overly clued up to be honest. Mine was ebay again and its lasted around 15/16 months and still going strong.
Make is Marina and i hear Yuasa is a good make (ebay item number : 400543880209)

If my memory serves me, James works with co-worker. I would look towards a 110amp leisure battery if he is considering a 2 man setup ( just seen other post).

I would also buy from a local supplier even if it was a little more expensive. You have a recourse if there is an issue, a little more difficult with an ebay purchase.

What was the outcome of the rear end shunt you had in your Multispace if you don't mind me asking?

Correct Spruce, I am building a 2 man set up in new van. So I will need bigger battery and split relay?

The outcome was after 3 weeks the geezer never paid me a penny so I went thru his insurance. They collected my multispace and wrote it off, and paid me a settlement figure which I was happy with, and chucked that down on a £7000 new berlingo (well, 3 years old) but its pristine condition 

Worked out for the best Spruce and means I have more space and payload limit to go 2 man

Try your local motor factors. 110amp will be fine, I don't rate split relay's unless your driving miles, never seemed to do much for us

James why didn't you go for a bigger van if your going for a 2 man set up. Berlingo's are small arnt they which means you gonna have a small system due to payload which the water won't last long. I'd of gone for a traffic or Vauxall vivaro it carry bigger tank.

I didnt do my research mate, and presumed id get away with a 400ltr in there.
