not so much an injury but i went back a bit to early after having a kidney removed and then made myself suffer with stomach muscle issues got a telling off from the Doc. Problem was i was so bored at home and thought i could do the work but was not completely healed.

I thought I was brave carrying on after I lost my heart to a starship trooper!

2 broken ribs, took a week off and then worked slower after that. Took about 8 to 10 weeks to get over it.
No still don't understand, I must be thick

The ribs might benefit from a bit of movement; I dunno; but with a cold you're best taking a day-or-two off and let the body fight it.

Also get plenty of sleep; sleeps really important, more so when we're not well.

Mine has to  be a trapped nerve in my back, suffered with it for 14 yrs so far. I can normally cope with Ibuprofen, but after the last episode went to the doctors & got some naproxed 500mg's they do the trick nicely, though I only take them when it's really bad.

Life used to be full of up's and downs....now i hardly ever get up a ladder :) .

Broken bones in hands. Not good. Should have had a cast on each time for up to six weeks. Never going to happen, just had to keep trucking.

Ouch!! Must have been a killer trying to move with gout! My old man has that and it near kills him to pit weight on his foot.

i feel your pain there,i get gout swell normally just in my big toes,i recently had it in the whole of my foot which was twice as bad as my toe and that was bad enough lol.
gout is the worst pain I've had.

I've been stuck under a lorry before with 18 ton onto of my leg for 1 hour and funnily enough the gout is worse than that, because after being under the lorry for 20 mins my leg went numb lol.

hope you improve dazz pain isn't nice in any shape or form, just take some strong pain killers and plod on.

I sustained an injury playing football years ago when I copped the full weight of an opponent on the sternum.
I was able to carry on working (just) but it slowed me down a lot and took a full month for me to recover fully.

The worst pain I had while attempting to work though was one morning when I had just pulled up to do my first job of the day, I had a searing pain in my lower abdomen. I tried to walk it off but the pain got the better of me, so I went straight to the quack who confirmed my suspicion that my hernia now needed to be sorted.

Strangely, the next day and right up to the day of the op I was able to work, and after it was operated on I was back working within 3 weeks.

Dazmond, hope you are 100% again soon.

John
