Problem customer

Just after some advice. I have a new customer only cleaned once before it's a £16 quid house in a little close of 14 which I do all of them. I have to text due to access issues she sent a text back saying can I come next time please so miss me this time. I don't want to have every other month due to others on that road will try it on. What would you lot do

wouldn't of took her on in the first place we have dumped all but 6 of our call aheads just cant be done with them anymore

Say- no, that's not how I work. The price agreed was for the frequency you clean at.
If she doesn't accept it, replace with two more  ;D.

If your there anyway what will it matter? Maybe it wasnt convenient at the time...if it happens again dump. First strike

I would tell her that you can put her on every other month .....but put the price up by quite a lot , that may put her off and prevent neighbours from trying it on too .

Most of my work is eight weekly anyway , seem to get less leave it this time with a longer frequency .

Dump, its just somebody looking a crafty Christmas clean on the cheap.

Dump her, no question, if other customers on the same street see you doing her windows bi-monthly, they may ask you to start doing them bi-monthly too.

i would give her a last chance , sometimes things crop up  example having work done , ill , away ,    i allways give the them a chance  :)

id tell her its £20 for a 2 monthly clean if shes wants to go on a longer frequency.youll find most WONT change to 2 monthly.i do loads of compact  monthly work with only the odd 2 monthly here and there.its all you can do im afraid.

if shes doesnt accept then she ll have to have dirty windows!simple.

DONT dump her.just be more flexible with a slightly higher price mate. ;)

Here here! I turned up to someones house once and they were having a home birth ... acceptable to turn me away? NO I DUMPED THEM AND NEVER WENT BACK...im joking of course, you people need to be a bit more open to people. What would you of done if someone had just passed away or they had had some bad news, would YOU want the window cleaner round?

She is renting so prob had a inspection. I won't go back as she has done it once she will do it again

Usually when custie text back to miss they state why just had one earlier.

"leave it this time having building works done, can you do in two weeks or next time please?"

Let it go this time, if it happens again ask her to go standing order.

She'l sack her self.

If she excepts standing order do her windows the day or day after the monies in your bank so if custies says not today you've been paid.

Just did that to two custies next door to each other 1 excepted standing order; the other didn't.

to be honest i didn't care if i lost both as they were a pain.

Got asked last month by a guy in his 50's pointed at the house i was cleaning and said how much is that one
" £650,000 i reckon"

He didn't laugh, when i told him his place next door was £15 he said his last window stopped coming because he turned him away because it was meant to rain later!

I told him politely that i come every month in most weather's all year round and he still hasn't got back to me ;D

Home birth?, hmm, that's a new one on me!.

I have no problem giving people a 2nd chance if I think they have a genuine reason for asking me to miss them this month, but at the same time, you cant let them take the mickey, and I certainly wouldn't put up with it from a new customer unless they gave an acceptable reason.

I went to do a customers house once, before I started the woman's mother came to the door and asked me to give it a miss this month as her daughter had a sore back!. Do you think that is acceptable LWC?, or was my dumping her a bit harsh?.

If access problems, tell her front only or dump, too be honest you're better dumping customers with access problems in the first place and finding work that doesn't require access as it's a PITA that can be avoided with better work with time  :)
