is there any DIRECT DEBIT company/ systems anyone uses on a regular basis

I think what i am looking for is a company/ system were if i have a Tablet logged on i can do it at the door step rather than walk away and put the emphasis on the customer to complete the final bits.

When mentioning gocardless some (admittedly in there 50s) always say, its a bit confusing and yes i have explained it slowly and simply.

Just waiting on Smart debit with a price but if any more out there let me know

The only way maybe to invest with a card read like shops, but I believe that there are a lots of costs involved ie..  Buy/rent equipment and charge per transaction

I know its a PIA and its costly but Paypal do a mobile card reader. Not sure if it fits the bill or not..

Or Bob - If the customers WANTS the dd, then you need to make sure they have an email - then you could call them and do it over the phone as IF you were the customer - ie so basically filling it in on their behalf. I have done this a few times now, it takes seconds to set up and although they should be able to do it themselves, once it is done it all good ! Mrs Smudger x
