DBS was CRB
« on: November 06, 2013, 05:47:38 pm »
Hi
Anyone know how to get a check on yourself as self-employed or as a business partner?
Gov.uk site is a nightmare :( :(
Cheers
P.
Edited for info found!!
Self-employed workers

Individuals and the self-employed cannot apply for a DBS certificate of their own criminal record, as they cannot ask an exempted question of themselves.

Options currently available are:
•a self-employed person can apply for a DBS check by registering with an agency
•individuals can get a basic check from Disclosure Scotland     which provides details of any ‘unspent’ convictions
Why is Scotland different?

Do some volunteering bud.
Try CVS.
It becomes a symbiotic relationship.
They CRB you, you do a bit to help your local community.
Don't shiste them though-be nice.  :)
