right now ive got all the connections nice and tight.the problem im having now is when i turn the water off on the tap on pole the pump keeps running for about a min.and the burner is still going creating lots of pressure and heat putting strain on my connections!

ive tried altering my calibration on digi flow controller but no joy.also if i turn flow down to 50 the burner wont light when i turn my tap back on pole.so ive got it set on 60(which is what i normally have it set on with cold water).

im stumped as to what i can do to get the pump to turn off a few seconds after turning tap off on pole!

i have the temp of heater just above min which creates 30 degree water at brush end after a few mins of working its way down 100m of thermobore and the water just above min as any higher the ignition wont spark!

i feel as if ive just overcomplicated my system!

i work fine with cold water with minimum hassle just the odd niggle here and there but with hot water i think ive just opened a can of worms!!

This issue is because your hose is softer & expands a lot more under pressure. The only fix is to reduce the pressure in your system & the digi controllers are not good for this. I'd recommend manually adjusting the pressure switch on your pump (an allen key on the bottom of the black bit does this),.. if its a 100psi sureflo pump, you can adjust it down to 60psi,.. thats still enough pressure to get water to the top of a 120' pole, so you won't notice any difference when working,.. but the pump & heater will cut out much sooner.

cheers nathanael.it is a 100 psi shurflo.ive never adjust the pressure switch before but ill find it no doubt!gotta find my allen keys first........now where did i put them!.........

Daz, you just don't listen!  

If you can't control your pressure very well then consider an analogue controller at a later date. They are much easier and faster to correct. You'll get there in the end. In cold weather it's a good idea to get the hot water circulating through the hosereel before you set off because you won't have enough pressure to keep the heater fired up on your first job.

interesting, i have the same prob as Daz, where is it excactly on the pump?

What is your cal set at. I had this problem on my heater but was able to reduce the cal and now it only runs for a few seconds after I stop the flow.

well ive been out to the van.found my allen keys(a big bunch of em!)located the screw on the pressure switch and even my tiniest allen key wont fit!its the size down! .

ive had enough for one day.i suppose its a learning curve.

lee what have you set your cal at and what flow do you tend to stick at when cleaning?my cal is 50 ive tried lower at 25 and still the pump runs and runs with the heater going.

if your pump is still pumping for a minute you have air in the system, run it on 100 with the heater off to clear the air out then re try it, i use cal 25 and flow 55 on my controller with 100m of 6mm thermobore and it will hit DE in about 5 seconds when cutting the flow
