What do you charge for one off cleans?
« on: October 29, 2013, 06:45:09 pm »
Window cleaning last week on an estate where I normally charge £12 per regular visit.

Lady next door comes out and asks ''How much do you charge for a one off clean?''
Windows were very dirty.

I said £35. Three times normal. Approx.

Too much, didn't get job.

If she had said yes I wouldn't have done them there and then anyway, as I would want my water for my normal round so would have come back separately at end of week.

Not worth doing a one-off unless it's charged at x2 or more.
Even at x2 im not that keen.

£40.00
I have to be honest i just am not interested in one offs. I dont know why probably because i feel they are cheap skates getting it done once a year, if that and with a full round i feel its a drain on my valuable time which is for my regulars

Had a lady do exactly the same gave her the price before she even answered i said, "To be honest im not interested" and carried on cleaning you could actually hear her jaw hitting the floor :D

Don't do them at all fortunately but times may change who knows?
Starting out used to - but find them too much hard work when you can earn enough on regulars.

Same thing has happened to me more than once if  they are as dirty as I imagine x3 all day and if they say nay then walk away ;-)

I charge double too.

the one offs I do are often end of tenancy cleans, so not to worry if there's  the odd drip here and there, nobody really cares.

we charge 3 times the reg price or £45 whichever is higher.  and they have to pay in  full upfront.  quite like them ever since we put the price up  :)

Don't like one offs, and charge double. Up to them if they take it or not.

Are you all talking about one-off window cleaning?

For One-Off Cleaning we just charge the normal rate we would normal plus £5.

for example

If the work is £20 worth.

We would charge you £20 for regular
for one off we would charge you £20 plus £5 fee so you pay £25.

basically we charging you £5 for not taking us regular as some our one-off clean then ask us to do it more regular.
