How to get EOT and one-offs
« on: October 23, 2013, 09:38:30 pm »
Contacting estate agencies and offer services seems to be an obvious answer. Any other ways?

In Scotland you just look for HMO applications which is a good sign

A good tip which I picked up from the window cleaning board is to look out for To Let and For Sale signs and target those houses with leaflets.

Thank you for answers. I live in England. Leaflets to homes with for sale signs sounds like a good idea.

Its a application which you must apply for if you got House of Multi Occupancy example students lets and etc.   They must put application to Local Council which is then list made public for planning and any local compliants.   Which we use it to send a leaflet to the property of saying 'We understand you rent your property to Multi Tenants,  Call us now on 01698 XXX XXX to book deep clean appointment'

We have got some work from this and including we get regular work from Letting Agents in doing them and started getting Housing Assocation asking us to do Deep Cleans for Teanets.

Yea I think you do as you apply for it online.

Just search HMO in (Town Name) into Google

I wouldn't say looking for HMO applications is a good way to get work... Well, I suppose it is if you want to work clean 5/6/7 bedroom old school flats that will be student accomodation.  I personally hate HMO flats as 9 times out of 10 they are old, tired and in desperate need of work, never mind a clean.

Id rather knock out 2 or 3 2bed places in the time spent on a HMO.  More cash and less work in my experience.

Thanks for your all inputs. I've sent letters to 20 nearest estate agencies, I'll call them next week,  hopefully some work will come out of it.

I have contracts with some very large ones.  Its all about who you know to get your foot in the door to be honest.

Nearly all estate and lettings agents will have cleaners / a company that they already use and are happy with the service / cost / turn around.

Its hard to get them to give a newbie a try.

That's what I thought, but if I won't try, I won't know.
