« on: September 21, 2013, 08:13:02 pm »

I have already built the website just a few tweaks left to do, i just want a new catchy domain to go with the website.

Nat, your opinion please sir...

I bought www.rutlandwindowcleaning.com and linked it to my website.
Someone told me that would do me harm rather than good. Black hat? Black cat? Something like that they said...
Do you concur?

It depends how you've set it up - - if google sees it as 2 separate sites with identical content then yes, it may damage your ranking. Google is pretty clever though & once both domains are pointing to the same space on the same server, its very rare for google to mistake it for a competitor's cheeky copy of your site.

It's just a 'holding page' (?) think it'll do any harm or good?

If its just a holding page then it shouldn't make a difference. :)
