Hi Ray,

I am afraid your post is a bit vague, is that £27.00 to do the job or per hour for 2 people?

End of tennancy cleaning can be subject to a whole host of different problems, greasy kitchens, bathrooms that have not been cleaned for ages, baseboards and wood work that have a build up of dust & nicotine etc. You will need to make sure you visit each job and price it up on its own merits as you can come unstuck. Make a list of all the things that they want cleaned so that there is no confusion at the end of the job.

Having said all that they can be quite lucrative, but you need to price it accordingly.

Thanks derek ive found letting agents not keen on u quoting jobs by looking at them, yes thats £27 per hour for two cleaners to do the entire job.
I may be naive here but if i come accross bad problems does that not jus meen i make more money from cleaners being on that job for longer amount of time?
Many thanks ray

One of the problems with some tennancy cleans is that any cleaning usually comes out of the tenants deposit, so there may be limited funds available. If you are going in at an hourly rate you would normally be expected to state how many hours you intend to be there, I would be very surprised if they gave you an open ticket to clean at your leisure, if they did then you would certainly make more money.
If you had a contract where you charged a certain amount of money regardless of the condition of the property then you would not need to view the clean, this may work in your favour over a period of time as some properties would not need as much cleaning as others, but it would have to be at a rate that would ensure that the bad ones did not matter. I have seen this work with house reposessions, company would charge a fixed price to clean, clear, change locks, drain down the water system etc.
I personally would not take on a job unless I had seen it first as you could be letting yourself in for all sorts of problems.

Hope this helps

Viewing is an absolute must for this type of work.

You could get identical properties, where one could be completed in a couple of hours and the other might require six hours.

GOOD LUCK
