An important with to bare in mind if you are going hot and wanting to buy a gas heater. Remember if you buya 5 litre per minute boiler, then  make sure you pump delivers 5 l/m.
These heater are ( heat) controlled by flow.
If you are temped to buy  a L8/L10 with a 5 l/m pump you will be putting your fittings at risk.
These heaters control the heat by the flow so when you turn your heat or flow by using a lower flow from a viri stream you will have problem with hosing bursting. If of course pump more than the water heater made for you will have luke warm  water.You need to understand what you are working with.
Now,before  am told ,its  all nonsense" I have burn scars to prove it when fittings burst on my first 8L on a 5 litre/m pump.

P S  dont believe what`s written on your pump, but check if you pump delivers what it says with a controller fitted.

Surely there is a flow valve on the front of the unit. If you turn it up to maximum flow and the pump doesn't keep up then the unit should shut down.
My fogwash is very sensitive to flow rate. In fact it won't fire up on maximum setting or minimum.
I thought they were heat controlled by the temperature setting.

Doesn't matter what flow pump you use, the heater has a minimum flow for igniting, so if there is not enough flow, it won't fire up. 5L, 8L ect is the maximum flow of water it can heat per minute.

I've been using the Corwoods one for a week or so now.
I found the best way was to turn the flow on the boiler to maximum then use my existing flow controller as I was before.
Worked a treat.
Really impressed with the unit so far.
Just in testing-not actual cleaning the water was definitely hot enough to make a cup of tea! Though I haven't got a thermometer to test it.
Happily just above warm most if the time now.
Great bit if kit for the money.

Yeah.
The heater is on the drivers side at the back and it's the rear passenger side door that is open.
I don't think it'd work if I didn't (without a chimney) which I don't want.
Irritates me enough having to have the roof rack on.

I have the same one, well not the one from corwoods, and find that mine works best with the flow on the heater turned right down and still use the controller to control flow.

My fog wash is in back door so vents out in open if it rains I've got ladders above on the roof rack so I just put cloth across stops water going in it whether it does any damage don't know wouldn't wanna try !!!! Only use it warm not too hot in the winter when frost and snow is about as wouldn't want to be cracking glass. Keeps hoses soft and doesn't freeze jets and hose when on cold grass, wouldn't be without it so it gets packed away with the thermal hose then will bring out when it starts getting really cold
