Get a few enquiries for this, I know about the repair kit by Konig but is there a simple (cheaper) way to do this where you can marry in the repair. The problem seems to be getting the colour and in particular the gloss level right if its not 95%-100% right on both counts the repair looks a load of toss. Doing it with a two part filler is an option but anyone found something convincing just filling and getting the right profile is only half of it

You will never 100% match something by Mother Nature even with the Konig system!!!  If  you want the repair to match better then use the two part system virtually to the surface and finish it off with wax.

We love this kind of stuff.  You should be able to get a colour match pretty bang on, it just takes to years of practicing colour matching by eye, which my resident artist(repair lad) can do. Profile it down to the correct shape and polish the fill in line with the tile.  There are some sneaky products you can use to polish the filler.  It will cost you about £10 in total for products.  No need for the Konig kit

I will post some pics of some heritage work with did with repairing ceramic wall tiles.

its no secret, just standard Polyester resins, coloured tints and a very artistic touch by my repair guy.

What is it you are using to polish?

Most good quality repair resins poliish very well.  You can also use Hand Diamonds and polishes.
