RO-dying
« on: July 02, 2013, 09:19:06 pm »
My ro-man 200 gpd system is 8 years old now.

Last 6 months water production has gone from 20-23 ltrs an hour to about 12-14 ltrs an hour.

I have changed all filters and both membranes now.

Getting away with it at the moment.

Setup is at parents; good old dad runs water early.

But come winter and restricted running time due too freezing conditions will pose problems.

Gonna get a pressure gauge to check garden water tap pressure.

was 75psi now 45psi.

This is what pressure gauge on RO SAYS.

So once pressure of tap confirmed is low then i have the option of booster pump or MERLIN system. (£369 :o)
Thanks Smudger for merlin advice.

IF water pressure good then i'm stumped, look for holes in water supply pipe.

Any advice apprieciated.

also the pressure gauge might have some on too, any metal fittings,

or even the garden tap might need a new internal part for it, they can play up at times.
