Just chant..... Hare Krsna, Hare Krsna, Krsna Krsna, Hare Hare, Hare Rama, Hare Rama, Rama Rama, Hare Hare. It's beats chanting Tory Tory or Labour Labour.

I'm back since deleting my account.
Silly thing to do, but seemed right at the time as I was having grief from a Ex member.
I am so clever that sometimes I don't understand a single word of what I am saying.

It's the same as around here I've noticed lots of shining new vans with their pristine sign writing the same as I do each summer.

I spoke to one new window cleaner a few weeks ago with a brand new van fitted out by Ionics with what to me looked like a rocket launcher fitted inside it. He asked about my set up and I showed him my Merlin and DI, tired worn out brushes and very well used poles along with other stuff crammed in my van. He had a brand new Pure Freedom trolley 'for the odd job' and I had a home build trolley made from bits that don't look flash but does the job perfectly that serves as a van mount and a trolley. He was not impressed.

Come next January I'll be seeing the same old vans around town and the same window cleaners apart from the odd one who has lasted the winter months, most will have found it's not as easy as it seems at first glance to actually make a living from window cleaning and will have given up.

As to whether I'll be seeing this bloke next year, I doubt it as he thought it was all about leaflets, marketing the product, advertising and customer relations and when it came to actually cleaning the windows..... well if you have the best products and tools for the job..... etc, etc, etc.. I wished him good luck though and I meant it.

It is all about marketing though. Anyone can clean a window, but the test of whether you survive or not is getting enough work I'd have thought. That and the ability to work in all weathers (within reason). I do take your point though about everything else. My old boss used to say "I don't want to die beautiful".
