hi, i need a few more scrims, and i hate paying £7 for one, even though they are very good, much better than microfiber cloths.

but i have been thinking about getting some 100% cotton tea towels, not the fluffy ones but the smooth cloth ones, i can get a 10 pack for 3 quid.

has any one else tried tea towels like this for deatailing, as i think scrim good as it, is becoming a bit of a rip off, for a bit of cloth.

at my local cleaning suppliers, but i have just been trying detailing with the old towels i have and its just a good as scrim.

i use an old bath towel cut down into sections
i have always found them to be better

tell your supplier hes a chancer then buy online.

Where you getting your scrims from? Woodsy's accountant? 
Have a look at the Windowcleaningwarehouse.
About £3 odd and about 3 years to break in.

Scrim is Linen made from Flax not cotton - cotton is nowhere near as absorbent.
Why change the wisdom of the ages - Windies use scrim for a very good reason.
It is the best for what we use it for.

unger grade A pre washed scrim £12 for 3 from the window clean centre.

why are some of you guys so so tight?

i know a guy near where i work who has an ok round(tradder).he has a rung missing from his ladder,his t bar sleeve is all ripped at the end risking scratching glass and he had a pouch that is falling to bits!!

i use both microfibres and scrim.each have their uses.

I hardly do any trad at all these days, but I have found that tea towels are perfectly adequate when I have used them in the past.

No. Buy 'um in bulk, spend so much and get free postage.
And when you buy in bulk you can break them in gradually.

look for free postage wintecs ect do free postage.

Even at £7 they are going to last you a year at least!!!!

I've used scrim for 30 years man and boy, but have been using these for the last month or so...
