Interesting as I have just been asked to look after stock and showhomes on a 1500 house development. I don't do builder's leans as they are too finickity for me, but you got me thinking that I may feel pressured to do them.

Stock plots and show homes take to long build cleans are heavy hitters and don't take all that long really. Where there's muck there's money.

Yes, but I would only do the stock houses at a price I am happy with. It is more that builder's cleans don't suit my personality.   ;D

In my experience you have this the wrong way round!

I think everyone comes to this conclusion after a few years in this game! Listen to the experienced guys on the forum Windiewasher! We have been there, and done it! Builders cleans are really just not worth it!!

no builders clean has ever accepted my quotes, and for good reason

think my card is general operative though if that helps, some sites will not let you on to quote without it

Ive been on the sites for over 2 years and barely do builders cleans.
But been offered 3 other sites not in my immediate area but are fast selling.
 sites
I mainly clean stock houses insides and outs and showhomes every 2 weeks.i do the odd builder clean which is charged at a very very good rate.

Go for it windie.

I have 14 sites that I do stock and show homes, 2 of which I sub out. 5 of these site I also do the build cleans and love it. At any 1 time I've got a backlog of build cleans I can drop on when it's raining / snowing or whatever.

I'm certainly not earning the £60 per hour you hear quoted on here sometimes for this work, but it is good solid work and pays every month at the same time on the dot.

Let everyone keep saying "steer well clear" and "avoid build cleans like the plague" etc, that's what I want them to say! :)

Oh and since I've been looking after these sites since October, I havnt had to remove a single bit of silicone! Silicone has long been banned from using near windows on these sites.

i earn £50-£60 an hour on some regular  maintenance window cleaning both commercial and large domestic.not as much as id like though!!no silly cards needed or scratch waivers etc. ;) ;D ;D ;D
