Not Happy Facelift clamp snapped
« on: May 26, 2013, 07:55:15 pm »
Things just not going right this weekend  :'(
I have this weekend been fixing a new screw adapter thing to a Ul section facelift sent me a while back. So off I goes to the van to add this to the pole and I for the life of me can not get the push fit adapter out of the first section! I had no choice but to hold the first red clamp for leverage .Red lever clamping part not lever snapped and that push fit adapter is still stuck in there good and proper .I even heated the adapter up a little with hand hot water to see if that would help, but nope still stuck in there.

Anyone else have any problems with the push fit adapter ? I told them before it was very tight fit ,so tight I cant get it out ..

Any ideas on this

Hey wightsurf.
Frustrating then! If you mean the part that fits into the red lever clamp then yes it is a very tight fit. I had the part that fits into the red levered clamp (the collar) snap and could not get it out. Facelift sent me a new one within 24 hours  ;) In the end I found an old golf club cut off the head and the rubber grip and it fitted into the smallest pole section the other end and rammed it all the way down and knocked it out. Hope I've understood what you mean if not sorry and hope you manage!
Cheers Chez

Gardiners, as well as everyone other manufacturer out there has issues time to time. It's part of the process of making things, virtually no product comes out perfect its an act of constant refinement.

Wrightsurf - is this the prototype section we sent out to for testing a while back?

No ita the little plastic insert that holds the brush, it's stuck in the 1st section.and the red clamp has broken trying to get it out, of which the insert is still stuck solid
