Anyone sent a LBA, not been paid and then taken the case to the next stage?
It's a game of three halves!

Yup..
MCOL = money claim on line.

Once you fill in all the details and pay the fee (mine was £35 I think) the court sends the paperwork out, and usually when it hits the doormat the customer panics and pays up... There is nothing like the reality of a CCJ threat to speed up the process.

iv not been down that road yet but if i did and the customer paid me , id then a week later send out another demand or 2 so they thought id not got the payment to increase their worry.

if they rang up to confirm id act muddled and say dont think iv received anything but junk mail , its a real nuisance isnt it (junk mail) you dont think yours was amongst that what colour envelope was it in? (hold phone from your ear and shout)Flo ! - did we get any white envelopes last week? , its looking like we might have chucked it out by mistake, what colour pen did you write with

something to bear in mind if you are currently doin the court route

Yep. Mine went all the way to court and sitting before a judge. I won and would be happy to do it again.

then you send the court bailiffs out.  years ago i did this to a bloke near Aberdeen who gave me and the missus a rotten holiday on his stinkey campsite. they went  after him like true attacking dogs and it was a pleasure to hear the updates

They get 30 days to pay or a CCJ will be issued against them. They will want to avoid that like the plague. 99/100 will pay. My man payed on day 30. As the above says, you can get the bailiffs to go, but their powers are limited in many ways too. You need to hope the threat of a CCJ will sort it for you. I'm sure it will. :)

If they are employed you can get an attachment of earnings to their wages.

you can freeze their bank accounts.

you can get a charging order on their property, and if the amount is enough make them sell their property.

There are a few options you can use apart from the toothless bailiffs..
