custy phoned me earlier in the week, panicing if i'd be there before the bank holiday, as she had family staying over.

husband cleaned conny roof with jetwash and made a mess of windows all round conny

Funny thing is the wife asked me if i could do conny last year think i said £40 at the time, didn't get.

Did windows this week and gave windows good going over.

Got a text to say window above connie was still marked.

went back today and cuustie glad to see me did window above connie again took no chances magica on brush this time.
I know was not in front of it but could only see a little spotting.
Got asked to do kitchen window 1 tiny spot rest was all inside wife examining closely kitchen window after i'd finished pointing to marks i just grinned and said inside.

Then she laughed.

The thing that really got me was husband and wife made themselves nice cuppa and big sarnie.
Nothing for yours truly.

Price hasn't gone up, was thinking £4 increase with option £2 increase if goes s/o

Her neighbours the same happy to talk all day about herself
Did her windows out of sequence as her daughter was getting married last month.
Custy jumping for joy, this time I showed up looked at me as if i as from another planet.

Don't take it to heart bud.
They're customers at the end of the day-not your friends.
A fair while ago-after feeling like you do one too many times, I promised myself to go out of my way for some people (customers & friends) but not so much that I'd get the hump if I didn't even get a thank you.
Feels much better. And I don't end up feeling like you-anymore.
Try it. It's quite liberating.
While I'm at it. Don't do mates rates either. Do it for free it charge full price.

I once took some rubbish to the tip for a customer as a favour. She dumped me 2 cleans later as her " nephew" was going to clean her windows from then on. No, it doesn't pay to be over helpful. It takes time to learn a polite detatchment.

seriously lee i dont clean any of my customers windows out of sequence  unless i really like the customer and they are good payers.i also charge them a higher price for the inconvenience.my time is limited!!

if you ve not given them a price rise in 6 years.just think how much the cost of living has gone up in that time?fuel,VAT,food etc.some customers would have you cleaning their windows for 20 years at the same price if you let them.so you ll be earning less money than 6 years ago due to the cost of living.

i have a price review of my work every year in jan and earmark ones that i feel need a price rise and put them up in april.also new work i pick up i charge more so my hourly rate goes up over time.

of course some of my elderly long standing customers i will do them the odd favour without monetary gain.it usually involves fixing a leaking gutter or helping them with their shopping bags!!

Daz have put some up lost about 5.

Bottle went a bit.
Started putting some up again.
My own fault little and often is the key to price rises.

Out of intrest Daz how do you word the extra charge bit for working out of sequence.

Is it 50% more and then custie misses normal slot after re scheduled.

I am SLOWLY getting through price rises; too be honest mrs is out of work so need the money
But at the same time don't want to lose too many.
