Splash & Dash
« on: May 15, 2013, 07:03:05 pm »
Watched a employee of a company who has a number of care homes in my area and beyond and it took him less than 1 minute to clean five windows on 2 floors .

Quick run over of brush and never bothered rinsing working in pouring rain must have thought the rain would sort it , But that does not account for all the other times the windows are a mess cant work out how they keep the contract . Mike

Its the one thing I have never been able to figure out since starting window cleaning.
Why do so many good honest guys get nowhere when cowboys like this make a fortune.
Just cant believe what customers will put up with in this game.

When my wife was having our baby I was stuck in hospital all day and a crew come in and wfp the windows while I was there. They spent about 2 seconds on each window, no rinsing whatsoever. When it had all dried out it looked absolutely terrible. But some how these 'splash and dash' outfits are getting, and keeping these massive contracts  ???

We quoted a job last year for Cheshire Homes (a oap care home) we wanted the job so went in as lean as we could on price, it was 3.5 - 4  hours work. Our quote was £160 the winning quote was £100 ?
Just glad we arnt that desperate for work ;-)

They get the work because the facilities manager considers window cleaning very low on his list of priorities therefore is going to spend as little of his budget on it as he can get away with. ;D
