Left and Right Gardiner clamp.
« on: May 09, 2013, 06:48:15 pm »
was speaking to a fellow window who recently purchased a Gardiner pole.  I asked him his review on the pole and he said, with him being left handed he found that he was reaching round a little to close the clamps and he made a suggestion for left sided clamps. Has anyone else found this an issue ?

You can take the clamp mechanism out and reverse it the other way.

No you can't.

It doesn't matter whether you are left or right handed, you will always open and close the clamps with your 'wrong' hand. This is dicated by the side of your body you operate the pole from.

I'm right handed so the pole is always to my right side meaning that I will open and close the clamps with my left hand.

My son is left handed and he uses the pole on his left side, so he used his right hand to operate the clamps.

It will work the same with the Facelift pole. A left handed person will almost always operate the clamps with his 'wrong' hand.
