So I failed to get any sort of finance to help me start up, tried loads of different avenues none of which worked. Going to have to do it the old fashioned way and save up I suppose.

So, I know this is a bit cheeky but....

..... if anyone is looking to take someone on i'm available! Based in the Bedfordshire area.

Cheers

why not find someone to go in partnership with you, start off trad and then go wfp
Takings off all first cleans till march 7th 2014
October  total=  cleaned  extra per month
November = cleaned extra per month
Total £  so far.

Thanks Wire. Windiewasher I've got no money at the moment hence why I was looking at getting finance to start, not sure how easy it would be to find someone to go into a partnership with either.

same for me karl 20 years ago.i was skint and on the dole.i worked for a windy for a year and saved every penny i could for a van and ladders to start me off.

he s still going now 100%  trad at 65!he says i was the best worker he ever had!! ;D ;D

i then canvassed and leafleted like mad for 6 months while still working a few days for him until i had enough work to go it alone.ive never looked back!! ;) ;D ;D ;D

working for a window cleaner will give you a feel of whether this job is for you.

very best wishes

im not a fan of training people up so they can bugger off as soon as they can and then be in competition with me.

How old are you ? Guessing by your name yo are only 22 ?

If so get a business plan drawn up and get your ass down the princes trust route .
If you can prove your business is viable and you are prepared to do a dragons den sort of pitch you will get the backing you need upto 4k !

I did this with another business before i was seriously ill i got 4k to help me start a welding business but lost everything due to ill health , i just wish i had done window cleaning from the start to be honest .

Get a ladder, and bucket, and see if you can hack it!

What "different avenues" did you try for finance?
The pen is mightier than the sword (and a lot easier to write with!)

Are you working for a window cleaner then??
Why not some arrangment to borrow his van (offer to do him some leafletting/canvassing) and get yourself some saturday work....
Save the saturday money up and you'll have enough few month....

Have a van & system that has only been used to clean my own windows at home for 6 months now since folding the business, would consider any reasonable offer just to see it go. The details and photo are on this site AAPS VAN & SYSTEM FOR SALE ring Heidi/ Mark 07861 659596
