Gutter cleaning poles
« on: May 04, 2013, 12:52:17 pm »
Any advice and experience of the 26' Polar-Vak poles: http://www.polarbrite.co.uk/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=72_74&products_id=712&zenid=1e93eb9129bbca67910182d25bea5cea

or the Gutter cleaning systems 25' poles: http://www.guttercleaningsystems.co.uk/polesets.html

I want to order a set but not sure which to go for.
The Polar-vak poles are 38mm diameter and lighter than the gutter cleaning systems poles which are 2" diameter.
Will 38mm suffer too many blockages?
Are the gutter cleaning systems poles too heavy at 825 grams per section?

HI,I am currently using the polarbrite gutter poles and only using 1300 watt vac and the only problem I have had is when a piece of cement or broken tile gets stuck but  just switch off suction and it drops out usually.I was just starting out with gutter cleaning and had a small budget this system works for me.Hope this has been helpfull to you. Best regards, jon

Don't go for 38mm pole and hoses it's just to small andy, I had both plugging into the same vac and there's a big difference in suction and performance.. Mainly speaking is the hose get a 50 mm fexi hose for defo..

Yeah that's what im thinking Avo.
38mm is nearly 25% smaller in diameter than 2" roughly speaking.
Im now seriously considering the 3000 watt vac package from Gutter cleaning systems with the 2" diameter pole set.
Poles seem like they will be heavy though at 825 grams each, at 30ft 6 sections are nearly 5kg.  :o
Perhaps I will just guttervac bungalows.  ;D
