I clean above them on downstairs windows as its easier to see what your doing - And always looks good to the customer... I steer clear on upstairs windows as its easy to miss a bit that could run down the window later on.Andy
on every first cleans or one off and after that only when they are dirty ( maybe once a year)more often on downstairs windows, easier to see what you doing
Love your company name too Andy!
I personally do not clean the small area above these type of vents unless it looks really grubby and on first cleans. If they do need cleaning then I clean above the vent and all of the frames first and the leave them to dry whilst cleaning other windows. When fully dry I then come back to the window and clean only the glass and rinse only the glass - this needs precision with the brush and the jets of water. Using pencil jets makes this easier than fanjets which tend to spray the water over a larger area which often gets into the vent.
we clean above these every time - never had bad drips or problems ground floor or first floorour 1st cleans are intensive and once clean i see no reason to let them build up with grime over a period ofmonths if you do then i can the vent being a problem if and when stray water land in this area causing the dirtto dribble down the glass after your long goneDarran
Yes GB - nearly 4 years of doing them and never a complaint about runs or drips Darran
