Got my new ro system today from gaps water, set it up and I have a very small leak from the end where you insert the membrane, I have taken off 5 times still leaks checked the rubber ring and it looks fine. Don't know what else to do. Anyone know?

Have a good look at the inside of the o ring bed and the head to see if there is any damage.

Will have another look tomorrow. I know one thing I will need abooster pump only got 35 psi, would that bring the Tds down at the moment it 26 ppm with 360 going in.

93% rejection ratio is pretty good going on an input of just 35psi - a booster pump will improve this greatly though.

Can you adjust your waste a bit more?

I don't think so it was about 70-80% closed. I have the HF5 ultra low membrane I think it should be about 80 psi , what pump do you recommend?

If its a low pressure membrane it's ideal running psi is 40. You shouldn't need a booster. Play with your waste a bit more

Took end cap out cleaned o ring checked the lip on the housing and the cap looked ok reapplied Vaseline no more leak. Maybe a bit off grit got on the o ring? Getting 20 ppm from 35psi.

Don't use vaseline/petroleum jelly, it detereorates rubber o rings. Best to use some mineral oil, it might be that the o ring slightly twists when you put the o ring on.

dont worry too much about what reading you are getting now. As you have a single hf5 just make sure that good to waste is a 30/70ish ratio. The longer you run it for the lower your reading will get , eventually you will be getting single figure reading , maybe as low as 4 , just give it a couple/few weeks and you will be surprised how low it gets.

Just in case you missed my post above, remove all traces of vaseline.
