We have just moved and are now on a water meter, I am now looking to improve my twin 4040 system by adding a booster pump

I am also looking at rain harvesting, How do you guys get the pressure to run through your RO?

anyone have any other ideas?

A lot our customers offer us a tap supply if in case we need it, Does anyone run a smaller van/tank and top up at custys houses throughout the day?

Downsized from a 650 to a 500 few months back and occasionally run out so thinking of getting small di so can top up 50 litres here and there.

I'm on a meter and don't worry about the water. My accountant says its fine to claim tax relief on 75% of my total water bill. It's much simpler than faffing about optimising the system.

Don't matter if its tax deductible or not if you can reduce running costs it's got to be worth doing more money to spend on marketing, lighter poles ect

Depends if the cost of the upgrade outweighs the reduction in running costs though. I think the difference will be negligible. It's not just cost either, it's the grief and time spent on the upgrade.

I ran a meter for a month, just to give me a ratio of personal to business use. It was about 82% business, but wanted to give the revenue their little bit extra.

hi.i'm on a meter and decided to do something about it.I installed a submeter and told them i did as they wanted to increase my payments from £36 to £78 i think .I have e 4040 ro ,changed from a 300gpd and makes a big difference.Changed all the jets on my brushes to 1mm welding tips,i also use push valves on poles and and digital controllers .all added make a huge difference especially since changing the brush jets.I have a 400l tank and i normally top it up to 300-350l and i still have left some water at the end of the day.and that's 2 of us.
not all my work is wfp ,especially the shops i do in the morning and i normally finish 3.30-4.30 pm so we work 6-8 hours a day.
so every little helps.
