6 & 12 or 4 & 8
« on: April 17, 2013, 10:22:42 am »
I'm thinking of offering 6 & 12 weekly frequencies as opposed to mainly 4 with the odd 8 that I have now.
My theory is that I could charge more for a 6 weekly clean.
A lot of WC near me charge low prices for 2 weekly but I know a lot of custies want longer frequencies.
Has anyone else had success with this?

They always seem more eager to see you on the longer durations, but you will get some that don't want to change, but if u have enough work to increase the duration it will be more beneficial to you

Hedge your bets and try both. ;D
Those who are happy at 4 weeks leave them be.
Don't be too confident that you will be able to charge more for 6 weeks for your existing customers - new ones by all means offer alternative times and prices.

Most of my work is 8 weekly. I thought about offering 6 and 12 for new work but I am pretty sure most would go 12 weekly so didn't bother.

All my customers are on 4 weekly, its the most straight forward frequency where you need minimal customers for a full round.

You must lose quite a few potential customers though that dont want them done every month?
I say I do them monthly and if they say thats too often I say I can do it 2 monthly if you would prefer.
That way I get mostly monthlys but I don't lose anyone that doesn't want them done every month.

If they want 8 i do 8weekly but most are 4 weekly and i only mention 4 weekly at the door. I never lose a customer due to frequency, its the norm to be 4 weekly i have always been led to believe.

calendar monthly for most domestic work and my customers are happy with that but i do offer 2 monthly at a higher price and have some 6 weekly stand alones and a few 3 monthly big houses and a large church on 6 monthly(good paying job though when it comes around!).

i find larger properties are more inclined to go 2 monthly which im happy with as i can charge more.
price higher/work harder!

I agree 4 weekly is the best for building a round.
However a lot near me do 2 weekly trad with a fair few 4 weekly as well, £4 for a 3 bed semi is not uncommon on this frequency.
I know a lot of custies dont want 2 weekly cleans.
I'm hoping by offering 6 weekly I'll be able to charge more whilst at the same time lowering their annual WC bill.
With the added advantage of cleaning cells, doors & frames.

How do you get your ladders into the prison? ;D ;D ;D
I am offering a 6 week service on new areas. Charge a bit more and hopefully better retention rate and no 8 weeks or two months.
I think on 6 weeks they will be less inclined to ask for 12 weekly - they wouldn't get it anyway!!

It can be a bit of a faff having different frequencies in the same area unless they are really close to home.

4+8

The 8 weekly customers get missed out every other visit.

Simple.
