Which pressure washer?
« on: April 15, 2013, 07:59:20 pm »
Hi
I'm setting up my driveway and patio cleaning business. I've had a window cleaning company for a number of years and have always been asked to do this kind of work.

I've looked at a few systems, only want a petrol or diesel washer.

Which one would you guys recommend and are there any brands to avoid?

Im based in st. helens. Any other advice appreciated

Regards
Danny

I was in the same position 2 years ago and invested 30k in all the equipment and its struggling to work, not sure if its the area or not but put all your effort in window cleaning!

I was only looking to invest £3k or so.

Ian H20 has had a good start from his posts.

Is there a reason your venture has paid off yet?

It's not like window cleaning canvassing, people associate it with pikeys and the attitude of it ain't that bad, when it clearly is.......save your money

I would also like to know what you spent thirty grand on.

Put a list together and I would be interested in it as well.

Hi rob

What would you recommend for my business.

Do I need a 200 bar machine to get out deep stains or will a smaller system do the job with chemicals?

I've got a hotel job booked that needs pathway and walls doing in 2 days timeframe

Commercial/domestic to make life comfortable  will be 21 LPM @ 200 bar, look for diesel rather than petrol. That set up will give you a good heads up and there wont be much you wont be able to get clean.

You just don't need what I have unless you are doing tens of thousands of metres per year.

Get your feet with that set up and then come on here and tell me it isn't enough ;D

Cheers

What do you use for water supply?
Is yours a van mount? I know a guy who has a trolley and one who uses a wheely bin.
