thing is james we are just not that important to customers like we think we are!!

just think of the stress, hassle and general faff that moving causes.its one of the most stressful things we do in life.most people either forget or dont care as their moving anyway.

ive been had a few times as well although most customers will tell me or i figure it out myself before i even starting cleaning!!

your JUST a window cleaner.very unimportant in the general scheme of things.

forget it and move on.

best wishes

Not all customers are like this.

Like everything there"s always the odd one.

I've had customers who have moved and left my details for the new people, who at sometime then call you. Thats a nice touch. :)

Happened to me a month ago. I got a call from guy saying they'd just moved in and to stop cleaning the windows. The previous owner owed for two visits, £40.00 in total. She was South African.

I called her mobile, explained, she said she'd transfer the money, two days later it was in the account. Nice lady and an honest mistake.

I have mostly military custies here, and because they get posted from one country to another, they get short notice to move or simply forget they owe, or they're are tw@'s.

Gave up chasing 15 or 20 quid bills from people who're back in UK or Cyprus etc. Just take the hit mate. Part of the job  ;D

James I find the FOR SALE and then SOLD sign are a good clue that they are moving, ;-)

We do a lot of RAF quarters and they are TERRIBLE for doing a flit without telling you, however I'm now on first name terms with the housing officer so just give him the invoice and a couple of weeks later..... hey presto a cheque and apology!!!

Quite a few customers of mine sold their houses without those signs so must have gone private sale.

I try to avoid rented properties for reasons stated, you need to go with your gut instinct with new customers James. Not every one is as trustworthy as me mate ;-)
