So I got the frame back from the fabricators last week, and today I got it back from the Powder Coating People
I was vying with the idea of getting it powder coated, but I know someone whose powder coated frame has chipped and begun to rust. They are the cleanest and neatest window cleaner I know, so if his chipped, im stuffed. Im not messy, but I when Im at work, Im in a rush to get as much done as possible so things have to be hard wearing.
Anyways, so then I though about galvanizing and then powder coating, but this was going to be costly.
So the guys down at Aurora Powder Coating, suggested PlasCoat.
Basically its a plastic coating that is sprayed on and then baked. Its more impact friendly that powder coating, and because its a plastic bond less likely to flake.
So here is the finished result.

And here is the frame I have designed for two hose reels.
