Looks like the plastic Barrel Nuts have been replace with alu or stainless metal that a good move.

I dont know what some of you do with your poles!!!
I have a 30ft slx & a 22ft clx both over 3 yrs old, only now starting to think about replacing the clx which is used every working day. The slx is used several times a week and is still in good order.

i like my slx but the top section wear too fast,so annoying!
i like gardiner brushes and carbon gooseneck, if facelift do something similar i will probably buy a phoenix pole with accessories

Carbon Goose Neck is good on commercial work but for residential i much prefer the Quick Loc system well built very robust me thinks and very easy to change brushes .

Going to get some push fit T-pieces to make it even easier to switch brushes . Mike

not true, i use carbon gooseneck on residential, it is perfect!

A pole you simply didn't look after that only lasted a year and cost £250 might sound a lot but, even assuming it's worthless at the end of that year, that's £1 per working day.  That £1 gets you

Less arm and shoulder strain - lighter and stiffer
Less neck strain - ditto
Quicker working - good clamps
Easier cleaning - all of the above

Cheap at three times the price.

i don't call you a liar Mike  , like you said it is preference but you can't say is good on commercial work but not for residential
