Hi,
Just wondered if anyone has the above machine and wanted to know their opinion on it.
Many thanks.

I think its pretty much the same - might have a slightly different heat exchanger on the new gt.

Bought mine from new,has 4 400 on the clock, easy to work on.Now if you went from a Everest to a blazer you would probably hate it,but if your upgrading from a porty, you will love it.

Well I`ve gone from a porty to a bane clean to a hm max diesel to a panther 25 which along with my van caught fire last week so looking for a simple machine with enough power to clean mainly domestic carpets with the odd school and hotel thrown in. Prochem are the nearest dealers to me and I think that is important if I have a problem. I`ve had a go of one at a cleaning show a few years back and remember being surprised at how much vac it had.

Clive

Why not go for the Jag (I have demo'd mine to 3 carpet cleaners now and two of them are now ex- TM owners and the last was actually saying that the Jaguar 6.6 had more pull than his entry level TM) what he forgot to say it’s also a porty for the unreachably areas

Hi Len,
I`d probably use one for jobs where I couldnt get a tm to but having use a truckmount for the best part of 15 years, I just couldnt go back to regularly using a porty(no offence to porty users!! ;D).
I do on average 4-5 jobs a day and put around 900 hours a year on a tm so i really do need one.

Hi Lee, Adrian and Glynn,
Yep - looked at gp cleaners site and seen the 427 in the boxxer. The main problem with that set up in the fiat ducato is that the machine takes up the whole van so i couldnt get a porty in the back which I do need on some flats down here. I know the 427 is a good machine but I`m keen to buy something pretty new, very simple and be able to take it locally to be repaired as I am useless with a spanner!!

i have had mine 2 years from new, first tm ive had, prochem are on my doorstep so i didnt look at anything else, which i now know is stupid,it does a great job but is very loud in my opinion,
ive had a few problems with it lately,i am now doubting the reliability of it
i had a problem that prochem gave up on and was told to go to someone who deals with briggs and stratton engines which surprised me somewhat,
i have a leak on the pump apparently a new seal kit is £350 plus vat and labour!!
or i can replace the pump for £600n ish plus vat and labour!!!
id only done 250 odd hours when things started to go wrong? ive only done 290 now
i would still recommend it ,but i would have a look at the oposition first

Bit of a come down from your old machine but will do most jobs well. The beauty of these is they dont have much in the way of fancy bells and whistles from the manufacturer. Either the pump, blower, engine goes and these can be sorted anywhere. Pick up a HX if you ever see one knocking around.
It's not expensive, you just can't afford it.
