Creighton

Nothing wrong with that spec but the pressure is a little light. The machine is a superb machine, ask Darren & Dave - they've just bought the 200 bar spec.

There's the Rapier machine that is an alternative or for that money you could buy a decent drain jetter.

What's the intended market and expected usage?

I want it for drive cleaning and decking or anything else I can use it for making money with.
I have got a max budget of 4k to buy everything I need except the tank.
all advice gratefully accepted.

I apologise I look at everything from my perspective and to me bigger is always best.

I don't think you need a drain jetter converted.

The Zeta @ 200 bar will be all the machine you will ever need, can you buy one for your budget, I can't remember the cost inclusive of VAT.

The Rapier is definitely affordable and is 200 bar @ 3000psi

The Hilta/Yanmars are bombproof, I have four of them, and well within budget - diesel as well.

Wait for one of the others to give you a response from their perspective.

Good luck

Rob ;D

Creighton, I could spend half of your budget and have a machine that's far more immense than a 'zeta'.

I paid £475 for a jetter, a 20hp engine with 30lpm pump, the gearbox ended up with a hairline crack so I bought a new 2030 interpump and gear box and for the past 9 months it's been the dogs scallops!. Machine stands me at less than a grand.

blast away if your mechanically minded as I am sure you are then your suggestion would be great but im afraid I can perform only the simplest of mechanical tasks which is why I want to buy brand new kit with the comfort of a guarantee and hopefully reliable customer service wether its in the workshop or advice over the phone.

That "Honda" engine looks a bit snide to me, you sure it's a genuine Honda?

I can buy the rapier for £2500 ish 170 bar 21 lpm or 200 bar 15lpm. so what upgrade should I price for ? it seems 250 bar is acceptable so what flow (lpm) and how much extra should I expect to pay for the upgrade ? is it just a case of swapping one part for another or would the machine have to be altered in some way to accommodate slightly bigger / different parts.

For decking/driveways/domestic work, 200 bar/15lpm is sufficient. 21lpm makes life easier when your rinsing down etc.

Assuming the upgrade is just a bigger pump, the 15lpm and 21lpm are a straight swap.

You will struggle to get more than 15lpm from a domestic tap and a 13hp petrol honda will run all day for £15 ish. Get the 250 bar 15lpm  13hp petrol £1450 including vat. Save your money!

That said the air filter & exhaust still look different to the usual Honda set-up's
