need help changing 40/40 membrane do the black ends screw of or unscrew ends inside any help would be appreciated
The top end of a Champ/Axeon housing has a white split ring that needs removing first. On newer ones you will need to unscrew the yellow retainer first. Once the split ring is removed you then need to pull out the end black head. To do this either pull by the hose inserted in the central port or grab one of the fins with a set of pliers and pull and twist off.
Once open you will need to pull out the membrane - you can buy tools to pull these out, but if you are replacing the membrane you can simply pull it out with a set of pliers - pull and twist.
