Hi,
I have a question about water for water fed pole systems  -
Do you just fill the onboard tank from your garden hose, and let the filters do the purifying? Also how long can you leave the water in the tank for?

Lastly i am going to do a diy setup for in my van, however i am not 100% how the system should be installed, if any one has a digram that would be a great help.

Wants to be pure (or near) before it goes in the van.
It's not as simple as doing a diagram for fitting.
You're best off talking to a supplier rather than a forum.
They'll tell you what you need and sell it to you.

Most people have a static system at home ( ro & di set up making water into a holding tank, then transfer water into the van )
As for a van set up,
Battery to power a pump, pump controller the regulate flow & pressure, hose on reel, then pole & brush, thats about it

first thing you need is a tds meter ( ebay) to find  what ppm your water is, if its low (soft water) you only need a di vessel

If you build it yourself you will learn much more quickly,and when things go wrong you will be better placed to fix them!(you cant do that when you have relied on someone else to build your system) And they really are simple!!!!!

Try to have your Ro (water purifier) indoors (not in the van, avoids freezing in winter) Get the largest you can afford,future proofing. a 4040 is the best.

That's the best advise you can give people first off. I did the same and it's 029 here so just use a di vessel and sorted.

Hi Thanks for the reply, checked on south west water an i am in a sot water area. 
I havent much space at home for a water filter, will need to put it al in the van, does anyone do this or does everyone have a tank at home?
