i thought id give it a go get the name out there to new areas its spring time hoepfully once this snow goes and i expect to pick up new work as were carrying them out il prob carry them out myself to be honest do 2-3 a day and then leaflet around them, its only a gutter clear not a gutter clean and the way i bring first cleans up i reckon we may be able to convert 50% over to regular customers

the amount of traffic it has generated to my website been really good so more emails to bank in the database for future advertising campaigns etc

I doubt you will pick up 50% of them as regular custys

Richy aint got a vac so he'll be doing them off ladders I'd imagine. If you can do a 4 bed house in 20 minutes then that is some feat. Hour minimum for each house and that's not taking into account the majority may be full to the brim

If you are storing people's email address don't you need to state this on you site

Groupon is designed for restaurants etc for special offers to get new custies. The carpet section of CIU has hundreds of stories about Groupon. Every poor sucker who tried it was saying"it will get us new customers on our data base" etc etc. To be honest, I thought everyone knew about Groupon by now, obviously there're still guys out there who haven't.

Biggest cowbin the west. I reckon ul get 3/4 that stay with u for the 40 you sell..and then ud never be able to do their gutters again unless the following year ud be happy with 13 pound and under after vat. .let me stress they take the vat from the price shown which is then halved. .so 26 for offer 13 to them minus 20%= you take the difference. .around a tenner per gutter..I wouldn't even start the van for that. .

If utwant customer base surely all them people who had thos deals on ur f book account helped. Y not just keep going?

Personally if someone sed I can empty ur guttering for a tenner id say na ur ok id rather pay more for a professional service.

I did groupon but told all customers to get there money back.luckily most of them bought them out my area too so i got away lightly.

I found the people who use groupon for these deals are quite wealthy but work and generally dont care about the houses but when they want something done they dont want to pay.
 i had one who asked me for a driveway quote after so i said 300 quid.he says i will give you 100 as i have had qualified plasterers working for 50 a day.
 his house approx value of 400k.
 I said do you work for £50 or £100 a day and walked off before he could answer.

£26 for a 4 bed, which probably has low and high level gutters, Groupon take 50% plus vat, so you're doing it for around £11....... mad!!!  We charge £120 for 4 bed minimum
