Boots, overalls and hose covered with it this week, took a bit of cleaning off to be honest,do any of you carry a small shovel to move it out of the way of your hoses before you start, or what do you do?? ???

If there's dog poop it doesnt get on the hose.

If to do the window you HAVE to get dog poop on the hose the window doesnt get done.

If the dog crap is solid, I give it a nudge with my boot and so remove it from the line my hose would take to get to the glass. If it is sloppy or a complete turd minefield, I get the backpack out. If there is no standing room, I don't do it.  ;D

I get this more on apartment blocks as the grass around them is open to all crappers!

I've started carrying the same bags I use when taking the dog a walk. They don't cost a lot and saves having to clean your kit and clothes.

I find this to be a plus point for frosty mornings, as it's rock hard  ;D

last week I was working out of sight of my van with hose and cone on pavement, I came back to find someone had actually let their dog crap on top of my hose whilst I was working !

Here is an idea  ;D

http://www.amazon.co.uk/Portable-Pickup-Pooper-Scooper-rabbits/dp/B005MJ6EA4/ref=sr_1_5?ie=UTF8&qid=1363632127&sr=8-5
jeez!
we are window cleaners, not our responsibility to be picking up others ***p after their dogs.

Unfortunately its a daily hazard of the job , moreso with wfp.
I have more of a problem with the mess on the street than in customers gardens mainly because I know which customers have dogs and where to be vigilant, and if thats the case I use a backpack to avoid trailing hoses, and oh yeah ! looking where you are walking helps.
 ;D
If its on the street and I have to pull a lot of hose out I look for trees/ lamp posts/railings etc. to route the hose around and keep it away from the poop .
failing that its easy to hose your boots and hose off and keep some alcohol gel in the van for your hands.
